Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt
 
 Rita Manning Deslauriers, 85, of Lowell, died peacefully on Friday, February 2nd at Genesis Westford House in Westford.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, June 30, 1932, a daughter of the late John J. and the late Mabel C. (Powers) Manning, she attended St. Peter's Grammar School and was  graduate of Keith Hall with Class of 1949.
 Before retiring, Rita was employed as a Bookkeeper at various local area medical offices.
 Very active with the Catholic Church, she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Ladies Sodality as well as the Lay Association.
 Among her many interests, Rita enjoyed her garden and pool, traveling, and loved reading and crocheting. She was also known to be a wonderful seamstress. Her greatest joy however, being all about family, she cherished the quality time she was able to spend with her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
 Rita is survived by two daughters Johnna M. Bahou and her husband William of Lowell, MA and Leslie M. McMahon of Alton Bay, NH; a son Raymond W. Deslauriers and his wife Katherine of Tyngsboro, MA; nine grandchildren Meghan R. Sullivan and her husband Stephen of San Diego, CA, Matthew F. and Jonathan W. Bahou both of Lowell, MA, Abagayle M., Michael J. and Shannon R. McMahon all of Alton Bay, NH, Morgan W. Deslauriers of Tyngsboro, MA  and Kelly and Michael Murphy both of Lowell, MA; her great-granddaughter Ivanna S. Bahou; a sister Helen Clancy and her husband Robert of Lowell, MA; and two nieces and one nephew.
 Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday morning at ST. RITA PARISH, 158 Mammoth Rd. in Lowell at 10 o'clock. Burial to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. E-condolences/directions at

    Dear Johanna and family - so sorry to hear of your loss, Rita was such a lovely person. I know how much my Aunt Peg enjoyed her friendship as well as her traveling companion with my parents.
