Retired missile designer Raytheon Corporation;

 George Sarkisian, 90, of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully Monday February 12, 2018 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband for 67 ½ years of Beatrice R. (Arakelian) Sarkisian, who survives him.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, November 27, 1927, the son of the late Charles and the late Arondi (Mogdarian) Sarkisian, he was a graduate of Lowell High School, at age 16, with the Class of 1944.
 A veteran of World War II, he proudly served his country as a Corporal and member of the U. S. Army Air Force. He was stationed in Japan as a weatherman.
 Prior to his retirement, George was a missile designer with Raytheon Corporation where he worked for over 35 years.
 A member of Vesper Country Club for 40 plus years, he enjoyed golfing with his friends and was a champion bowler having won several trophies over the years. George was a member of the Armenian’s Veteran’s Association and the Masonic Lodge in Lowell.
 Besides his wife Beatrice, he will be fondly remembered by his sister Margaret Sarkisian of Lowell; and his nieces and nephews Anthony Der Garabedian, Katherine Coughlin, Karlene Lefebvre, Carol Hildebrand, Lee Ann Murray and Fred Arakelian, Jr.; and 11 grand nieces and nephews.
