Rita E. Lambert

Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother;

           Rita E. (Rivard) Lambert, 93, of Dracut, died Wednesday, February 28th at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Lambert, who died January 3, 1984.
           Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, May 26, 1924, a daughter of the late Arthur and the late Rita (Jones) Rivard, she received her education at St. Patrick’s Grammar School.
           Before retiring, Rita was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at D’Youville Manor in Lowell for over 39 years.
           Among her many enjoyments, she loved crocheting and knitting and was a member of the Dracut Senior Center. Her greatest joy, however, was the quality time she cherished in the company of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
           Rita is survived by four daughters Carol A. O’Neill of Manchester, NH; Mary R. Marshall and her husband Roland of Dracut, MA; Shirley H. Jones of Billerica, MA; and Deborah J. Hoyt and her husband Gary of Epping, NH; a son Bruce K. Lambert of Campton, NH; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
           She was also grandmother of the late Robert W. O’Neill, JR., mother-in-law of the late Robert W. O’Neill, Sr., and sister of the late Helen Weihermuller and the late Arthur Rivard.
           Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 3 to 7 P.M. on Monday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at the ST. MARGUERITE D’YOUVILLE CHURCH in Dracut at 11 o’clock. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell.
