DiRoccoLoving mother and grandmother;Winnifred L. “Winnie” (Baker) (Hancock) DiRocco, 87, of Pelham, NH, died Wednesday afternoon at the Blaire House in Tewksbury after a brief illness.She was the loving wife of the late John Hancock, Sr. and the late Dominic DiRocco.Born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, June 15, 1930, a daughter of the late Robert E. and the late Maude E. (Boynton) Baker, she attended Gloucester schools and was a graduate of Gloucester High School in the Class of 1948.For many years Winnie worked at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell as a kitchen aide.Winnie enjoyed playing bingo, doing puzzles, word searches and vacationing in New Hampshire.However her true joy was the time she spent with her family and her pet animals.She is survived by her daughter Cheryl L. Hancock of Lowell and her son John Hancock, III and his wife Francine of Pelham, NH; two grandsons Jason Hancock of Lowell and Darrel Hancock of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.Friends may come to her Memorial Visitation at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher on THURSDAY EVENING MARCH 15, 2018 FROM 5:00 TO 7:00 P.M.
