Virginia L. Taff

Loving mother, grandparent, sister and friend;

Virginia L. (Kelley) Taff, 92, a resident of the Highland’s section of the City, died Thursday morning at the Northwood Rehabilitation Center in Lowell.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Taff, who died February 16, 2009.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, December 28, 1924, a daughter of the late Frank J. and the late Florence (O’Malley) Kelley, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School Class of 1942.
A lifelong communicant of St. Margaret Church, Virginia was also a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality.
 
Virginia retired from the Pilling Shoe Company where she worked as a lacer for many years. Later, she worked at the Epicure Tea Room in Lowell.

She also served as a member of the Lowell Election Commission.
Her survivors now include four granddaughters Robin Hawley, Erin Taff, Shannon Carota and Meaghan Taff; five great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law Mary Taff; a brother-in-law Joseph E. Taff and his wife Nancy of Tyngsboro; a sister-in-law Sandra Eagan and her husband Thomas of Lowell;  many nieces and nephews.

Virginia was the mother of the late Atty. Dennis E. Taff and the late Kevin M. Taff. She was also the sister of the late Mary Chase, the late Paul F. Kelley, the late George Kelley and the late Rita Greska.

Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 3 to 7 P.M. Monday. Her Funeral will take place at the funeral home Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock followed by a Funeral Mass at ST. MARGARET CHURCH at 12:00 NOON. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery. Mary Jane (Quinn) Cox, of Lowell, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Palm Center in Chelmsford. She was the beloved wife of the Donald F. “Dinny” Cox who died August 30, 1986.

Mary was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, January 26, 1927, the daughter of the late John A. Quinn, Sr. and the late Helen I. (Brady) Quinn.

She attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1946. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Margaret Church in Lowell as well as a proud member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality.

Before her retirement, Mary was employed as a Sales Associate with Wood-Abbott Jewelers in Lowell for 45 years followed by 12 years at Charles Frederick Jewelers in Chelmsford.

Among her many interests, she enjoyed golfing as a member at Mt. Pleasant Golf Club, bowling in the St. Margaret League and trips to Foxwoods.

Mary is survived by two brothers Edward B. Quinn, Sr. of North Chelmsford, MA and David M. Quinn, Sr. and his wife Mary Elizabeth of Lowell, MA; She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and godchildren.
She was also sister of the late John A. Quinn, Jr. and the late Robert D. Quinn, Sr.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Tuesday morning at ST. Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle
 
 Brian P. Reilly, 72, of Lowell, died Friday morning, October 20th at his home. He was the beloved husband of Ann Marie (Fleury) Reilly who survives him and with whom he would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on November 24th.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, August 30, 1945, a son of the late Leo J. and the late Mary Ruth (Kealy) Reilly, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School with the Class of 1965. He then went on to graduate from Coyne Electrical School in Newton and became a Master Electrician.
 A veteran during the Vietnam Conflict, Brian proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman.
 Before retiring, Brian was employed as a Trades Foreman at Raytheon Corporation in Andover for over 26 years.
 Among his many activities, he enjoyed going to the theater in Boston, dining out, playing the lottery and his summer vacations at Seabrook Beach. He was also an avid N.E. Patriots fan. Above all else, being all about family, he cherished the quality time he was able to spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by two daughters Sandra Catalano of Dracut, MA and Patricia Lonardo and her husband Danté of Hudson, NH; two sons Jeffrey Reilly and his wife Giannina of Chelmsford, MA and Patrick Reilly and his fiancée Allison Archambeault of Lowell, MA; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister Ruth Rahimi and her husband Amahad of Westford, MA; two brothers Barry Reilly and his wife Linda of Wilmington, MA and Kevin Reilly and his wife Kathie of Lowell, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
 He was also father of the late Susan Pelland and the late Christina Tevepaugh and brother of the late Leo Reilly and the late Polly Reilly.

 Earline A. (Asselin) Leonard, 64, of Lowell, died Sunday, October 8th at the Atrium at Drum Hill in North Chelmsford. She was the beloved wife of 43 years to the late Arthur J. Leonard who died August 8, 2014.
 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, December 29, a daughter of the late Chester A. and the late Aline (Paquin) Asselin, she attended Dracut schools and was a graduate of Dracut High School with the Class of 1971.
 Before retiring, Earline was employed as a Teacher’s Aide with the City of Lowell for over 15 years.
 Among her many interests, she enjoyed music, puzzle solving, sewing and poetry, actually publishing two poetry books. Above all else though, being all about family, she cherished the quality time she was able to spend with her children, grandchildren and great-grandson.
 Earline is survived by a daughter Tina G. Leonard of Lowell, MA; two sons Steven R. Leonard and his wife Martha of Dracut, MA and Jason P. Leonard and his wife Melissa of San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren U.S. Marine PFC Elyse Maranda currently stationed at Fort Belvoir, VA, Kyle Maranda of Lowell, MA, Alicia Leonard of Dracut, MA and William, Andrew and Matthew Leonard all of San Antonio, TX; a great-grandson Shane Arthur Leonard of Dracut, MA; two sisters Karen Burk and her husband Alan of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and Paula Asselin of Fort Worth, TX; her companion John; her sisters-in law and brothers-in-law Nancy Causey and her husband Ronald of Shreveport, LA, Donald Leonard and his wife Marie of Dracut, MA, David Leonard and his wife Patricia of Londonderry, NH and Cheryl Leonard of Kenosha, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
 Relatives and friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 9:30 to 10:30 on Friday morning followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at ST.
