Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend;
Beverly D. “Bev” (Glancy) Parent, 83, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 6, 2025, after a long period of declining health.
She was the loving wife for over 56 years to Joseph H. Parent, who survives her.
Born in Lynn, MA, January 9, 1942, the daughter of the late John and the late Marion (Leonardson) Glancy, Beverly attended Lynn and Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School Class of 1960. She continued her education at Northeastern University and, until starting her family, Beverly was employed as an x-ray technician with Medical Associates in Chelmsford.
A devoted mother and dedicated grandmother, “Bev”, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, loved life and was truly one of a kind. She loved her people fiercely and would have done anything for them. She was the glue that gathered the family during the holidays. She adored her friendships and loved her golf , bridge, and mahjong groups. She also loved her yearly trips to St Martin and the friends she made there. She made friends everywhere she went.
However, her greatest joy was when she was with her family. She loved her boys so deeply and was proud of each one. Her grandchildren brought her incredible joy and she’d find little treasures for them for each occasion.
Besides her husband Joe, Bev is survived by three sons Joseph D. Parent and his wife Stephanie of Freeport, ME, Timothy J. Parent of Rye Beach, NH and Michael W. Parent and his wife Heather of Old Lyme, CT; three grandchildren Lillie Parent, Luke Parent and Myles Parent; a brother Jack Glancy and his wife Jannette of Chelmsford; a sister Debra Lambert of Manchester, NH; a brother-in-law George Dixon of Chelmsford; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Terry Dixon.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH in LOWELL, MA at 11 o’clock. (Please Meet at Church).
