Catherine M. (Murphy) Liston
Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend
Catherine A. (Murphy) Liston, 86, a longtime resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell passed away on Saturday February 27, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital.
She was the loving wife of the late Robert E. Liston, a retired member of the Lowell Police Department, who died in 2000.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 21, 1934, the daughter of the late Frederick T. and the late Anna M. (Manning) Murphy, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
Among her many interests, Kay enjoyed reading and following politics but her greatest joy was when she was with her family and siblings.
A dedicated mother she is survived by her son Robert F. Liston of Lowell; her daughter Kara Iserman and her husband Edwin of Westfield, MA; two granddaughters Kathryn A. Stewart and Anna E. Stewart both of Westfield; a grandson Colin R. Stewart of North Carolina; a step granddaughter Brianna Smith; a step great grandson Brayden Guillemette; two brothers Ronald Murphy and his wife Barbara of Dracut and James Denny Murphy and his wife Nora of Maryland; a sister-in-law Helen Murphy of Dracut; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also predeceased by her siblings Rita Perreault, Ann Draper, Helene Ayotte, Thomas, Daniel, Frederick and Joseph Murphy.
Friends may call at the ODONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL for a Memorial Visitation on Saturday March 6, 2021 from 10 to 11:30 A.M.(all state-required social distancing procedures will be observed, including the wearing of masks upon entrance into the Funeral Home and at the cemetery).
