Dana M. Rodricks

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother-in-law;
 
Dana M. Rodricks, 71, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital.
 
He was the loving husband of Francine A. (Newell) Rodricks, who survives him.

Born in Lowell, MA, on August 19, 1953, the beloved son of the late David G. and the late Jennie (Kalil) Rodrigues, he attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School in the class of 1971.

Dana worked for 37 years as a railroad employee with Boston and Maine Railroad, Amtrack, and at the Massachusetts Bay Commuter Rail where he retired as a Senior Engineer of Track South. After retirement he was happy to spend time with good friends that he met throughout his career. 

In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, vacationing, and going to the beach. He was also an avid fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. He was happiest, however, when he was spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his adored daughter, Trisha L. O’Connell and her husband Bruce of Rutland, MA; two cherished grandchildren, Katelyn E. O’Connell and Matthew P. O’Connell, both of Rutland, MA; many loving nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Henry J. Newell and his wife Alice of Ogunquit, ME; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy A. McGaunn and her husband Roy.

He was the brother of the late David G. Rodrigues.

Friends may call on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL from 4 to 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service to be held on Friday morning, August 22, 2025, at the O’Donnell Funeral Home at 10 o'clock followed by his burial at the Lowell Cemetery.
