Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt;
Diane (Jordan) Murphy, 83, of Nashua, New Hampshire, affectionately known as “Sunny”,
passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 in Hudson, FL.
She was the loving wife of Brendon F. Murphy, who predeceased her in 2022.
Born in Lowell, MA, August 30, 1942, the daughter of the late Kenneth C. and the late Dorothea M. (Courchaine) Jordan, she attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School in the class of 1960.
Early in her career Diane was a city clerk in Lowell. A proud mother and homemaker, Diane lovingly stayed home and raised her three sons.
In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the beach and hosting parties. She loved entertaining her guests, and most of all, spending time with family. She was an avid reader of the Bible and attended church regularly in New Hampshire and Florida.
Diane is survived by three sons, Brendon J. Murphy and his wife Terry of Londonderry, NH, Shaun P. Murphy and his wife Jenn Smith of Nashua, NH, and David E. Murphy and his wife Susan of Nashua, NH; three grandchildren, Joe Jackson of Derry, NH, Jessica Higgins of Exeter, NH, and Molly Smetana of Nashua, NH; two great grandsons, Jamie Higgins of Exeter, NH, and Noah Smetana of Nashua, NH; a sister, Roberta Simoneau of Concord, NH; a brother, Peter Jordan of Laconia, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday, September 19, 2025, at ST. PATRICK CHURCH in LOWELL, MA at 11:00 AM. (Please meet at church).
