Donald Lindsay, Jr. Obituary

Beloved father, brother, uncle and friend;

Donald E. “Don” Lindsay, 62, of Dracut, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at his home.

Born in Framingham, MA, on November 13, 1962, the son of the late Donald E. Lindsay, Sr., and the late Dorothy (Sutton) Lindsay, he attended Natick schools and was a graduate from Natick High School Class of 1980.

After high school, Don attended college at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, graduating with his bachelor's degree. He then attended Santa Clara University, earning his master’s degree in electrical engineering. Education was very important to him and encouraged learning to reach your potential.

Most recently, Don had been working for over 10 years as an Electrical Engineer at Raytheon Corporation in Andover and Tewksbury. Previously, he worked at General Dynamics and was also the owner and operator of his own computer store, DEDSL.

In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling all over the world with his most recent visits to France, South Korea, Kuwait and Qatar. He spent his formative years in Italy as a kid with his family. He was also a member of the Zeta Psi fraternity at Worcester Polytechnic. Throughout his life, he made many friends and lifelong brothers through his interests especially his coin hobby. Most of all, however, Don enjoyed spending time with his family. Whether it was teaching them to play tennis or softball, build forts in the woods, design a custom computer or share his helpful life tips and lessons. He was a very fun, knowledgeable and insightful father who lovingly prioritized family.

Don is survived by a son, Campbell R. Lindsay of Lincoln, RI; a daughter, Kaley D. Lindsay of Milford, NH; three sisters, Nadia L. Salerno and her husband Carl R. of Natick, MA, Shirley T. Madsen and her husband David of Pleasant Hill, CA, and Paula A. Bertoncin of Foresthill, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Donna McGuire, Kathryn Withers, and Alan Lindsay.

He will be very much missed by his family and friends. Our hearts are broken by this loss. He was a terrific mentor and to be loved by him was to be very lucky.
