Edmond D. “Eddie” Bussiere, 58, of Boxborough, Massachusetts, and a Sergeant with the Littleton Police Department, passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 24, 2025, at his home.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 3, 1967, the beloved son of Mary E. (McCarthy) Bussiere and the late Kenneth P. Bussiere, he attended Lowell grammar schools and graduated from Lowell High School in the class of 1985.

After high school, Eddie earned an Associate’s Degree at Middlesex Community College before attending the Police Academy, which he graduated from in 1997. He then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from UMass Lowell in 2001.

Currently, Eddie was a Police Officer for the City of Littleton for over 19 years and was promoted to Sergeant last year. Previously, he began his career in Law Enforcement as a Patrol Officer with the Town of Pepperell.

In addition, he was a well-known instructor working with many different law enforcement academies across the state, specializing in Impaired Driving Detection and as a Drug Recognition Expert. 

An avid Patriots fan, Eddie also enjoyed playing golf in his spare time. However, his greatest joy was being with his family and coaching his two daughters in school sports from grammar school to high school then through college.

Besides his mother, Mary, he is survived by two daughters, Maura D. Surette and her husband Luc of Nashua, NH, and Kiera E. Bussiere of Brooklyn, NY; a sister, Mary-Theresa Corcoran and her husband Paul of Lowell, MA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his loving cat, Liberty.

Friends may call on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at ST. ANNE CHURCH, 75 King Street in LITTLETON, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday, October 31, 2025, at ST. ANNE’S CHURCH in LITTLETON at 10:00 AM.  Burial will be private for the family.
