Frederick was born in Lowell, Massachusetts; the son of the late Frederick Francis Greaves and Florence Buhrer Greaves. After high school, he joined the Air Force Reserves and was active duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1961. He was educated at Lowell Technological Institute and furthered his education at Northeastern University, where he studied engineering and earned a bachelor's degree in 1964. He married Eleanor Anne in 1967 and had two children Frederick and Tara who were blessed by God to have such a great Dad who was always there for his children throughout their entire lives. Throughout his life, he enjoyed working out. He also enjoyed many activities, including racquetball, handball, coaching basketball, surfing, tennis and dancing. The Bible was very important to him, especially later in life. He spent time reading it, praying and participating in Bible studies. Frederick took his faith in Jesus very seriously and we know he will join Eleanor in heaven. Jesus said “In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Frederick will be missed by all, especially by his adult children. 

Frederick was predeceased by both his younger brothers Richard and Gerald and his wife Eleanor.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL from 4 to 6 P.M. Burial will be private. E-condolences/directions at www.odonnellfuneralhome.com.
