For over 40 years he was the loving husband of Kathleen M. (Shugrue) Owens, who survives him.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, July 18, 1953, the son of the late Gerald F. and the late Mary (Dawson) Owens, Sr. He attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of LowellHigh School.Bud went on to graduate from U/Mass Lowell with a Bachelor of Science Degree in History.
Before his retirement in 2013,he was a meter reader for National Grid (and previously with Colonial Gas) for over 34 years. He was a member of the United Steelworkers AFL-CIO Union, Local 12012.
Bud was a family man who always had his priorities straight and was happy enjoying the simplicities of life. He especially loved spending time with hiswife, children, and grandchildren. He took pride in guiding his grandchildren in lifes lessons at "Grandpa School".
He also enjoyed golfing with his sons, sitting on Wells Beach with family and friends, and traveling to Aruba.
Beside his wife Kate, he is survived by his two sons Kevin M. Owens and his wife Lisa (Cerroni) Owens of Haverhill and Timothy P. Owens and his wife Amsi (Morales) Owens of Chelmsford; four grandchildren Thomas G. Owens, Avery G. Owens, Casey H. Owens and Abigail M. Owens; two sisters Beverly Owens of Lowell and Judith Robinson of Seabrook, NH; six niece and nephews John Callahan, Daniel Callahan, David Robinson, Justin Robinson, Meghan Sorensen and Patrick Sorensen; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

MICHAEL CHURCH in Lowell at 10 o'clock (All state required social distancing procedures will be observed including the wearing of masks upon entrance into the Funeral Home and the church).
