James S. Wolfenden, 86, a resident of Lowell, died Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jane A (McCarthy) Wolfenden.
Born in Lowell on February 6, 1939, he was a son of the late James and Yvonne (St. Cyr) Wolfenden and was a graduate of Westford Academy. Following High School, James enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in Key West Florida.
Mr. Wolfenden worked as an Inventory Clerk at both Wang and Electro Circuits. Most recently he worked prior to his retirement at Allen Medical/Hill Rom in Acton.
In addition to his family, James enjoyed the Boston Sport teams, especially the Boston Bruins and the Red Sox.
He is survived by three daughters, Jamie Taylor and her husband Tracy of Londonderry, NH. Tina Loranger and her husband Steve of Warner, NH and Lynn Ducharme and her husband Chris of Lowell; two sons, Timothy Wolfenden and Jon Wolfenden both of Lowell; six grandchildren, Christopher Dixon, Corey Lombardi, Alison Lombardi, Benjamin Ducharme, Madisyn Ducharme and Justin Taylor.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 10, 2026 for a Memorial Visitation at O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL from 10:00 am to 12 noon followed by his Funeral Service in the Funeral Home.
