Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt;
Kathleen M. “Kay” (Davis) Petruzziello, 90, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at The Arbors at Dracut, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the loving wife for over 67 years of Bernard D. Petruzziello, who survives her.
Born in Randolph, VT, November 3, 1935, the daughter of the late Harold and the late Margaret (Tracy) Davis, she attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School in the Class of 1953.
Kay then enrolled at Lowell State Teacher’s College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education in 1957.
Before retirement, Kay worked as a Congressional Aide for Senator Paul Tsongas. Previously, she was the Director of Alumni at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
An active and well-known advocate in both local and national politics, Kay also enjoyed history. In her spare time, she appreciated a good book and took pleasure in traveling.
Besides her husband, Bernard, she is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Graham and Steve Joncas of Lowell, MA, and Caroline Rider and her husband Mike of Lowell, MA; two sons, Andrew Petruzziello and Thuy Nguyen of Springfield, VA, and Joseph Petruzziello and his wife Krista of Lowell, MA; eight grandchildren, Shannon Montgomery and her husband Jordan, Jaclyn Burnham and her husband John, Harrison Rider and his wife Savannah, Maxwell Rider, Benjamin Petruzziello and his fiancée Jamie Bishop, Isaac Petruzziello, Lucas Petruzziello, and Charles Rider; four great grandchildren, Quinn, Graham, Johnny, and Valentina; two sisters, Margaret Anne Stevens of Pocasset, MA, and Patricia Berry of Tyngsborough, MA; a sister-in-law, Joan Davis of Pelham, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late H. Tracy Davis.
The family wishes to thank the staff at The Arbors at Dracut for the care they provided to Katheen.
Relatives and friends may call for her Memorial Visitation on Monday, March 16, 2026, at O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME in LOWELL from 4 to 7 P.M.
