Kathleen C. (Lloyd) Young

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and matriarch of the family, Kathleen C. Young, in the early morning hours of April 6, 2025.

She was born May 23, 1945, and was 79 at the time of her passing.
Our mother passed away from a lung illness, quietly and peacefully in the comfort of her home.

We thank everyone for the outpouring of love and condolences for our mother.  Although we knew this, it has become clearer how many lives our mother has touched and how she affected the lives of others.  Many have reached out to share these stories and they will never be forgotten.  She knew what it meant to have loss and struggles, and she tried to offer help in any way she could, even if it was nothing more than listening or imparting words of wisdom.  Our mother will be remembered most for her cooking, if she fed you, she loved you or cared about you.  If there was one thing our mother could not stand to see, it was a hungry person.  She often said, if you have enough for four, you have enough for six.
 
Kathleen is survived by her four living daughters and one deceased daughter and lifelong partner Richard Ninteau.  Kim Young who passed in 2004, Kelly Young of Isleboro Maine, Kristin Young of Lowell, Ma, Keri Young of Lowell, Ma, and Kara Young-Knox and her husband Jonathan Knox of Buffalo, NY.

Kathleen is also survived by thirteen beautiful grandchildren, Brandy Young, Cameron and Devon Garfield, Maegan Randlett-Boley, Krystal Randlett, Joshua Young, Katie Gagne, Jenna Gagne, Felicia Valladares, Michelle Valladares, Daniel Valladares, Jonathan Knox and Sean Knox.
She is also survived by 10 beautiful great grandchildren Jordan, Mason, Lena, Noah, Mia, Landon, Willow, Myles, Luca, and Micah

She is also survived by nieces and nephews of her beloved sister Lorretta Mamone, dearly departed Andrea Maliea, Karen Sullivan, Linda Salisbury, Laura Leslie, David Collins, Darrell Collins, Christopher Mamone, Raymond Mamone, Joseph Mamone, Vincent Mamone.  She loved you all.
Our mother has left this world with a tremendous legacy that we are all grateful for. “Forever Young”
