Raymond J. Bud Fitzpatrick



Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend;



Raymond J. Bud Fitzpatrick passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at his home at the Residence at Valley Farm in Ashland, MA. A former longtime resident of Ocala FL, Framingham and Lowell MA, he was the husband of the late Doris (Guevremont) Fitzpatrick. She predeceased him in 2019, just prior to their 74th Anniversary.

Born in Lowell, MA on January 10, 1925, he was the son of the late Thomas and late Alice (Pendergast) Fitzpatrick. He was the youngest brother of the late Alice, James, Thomas and William Fitzpatrick, and the late Lillian Laughlin, Mae Sullivan and Dorothy Jaggers.

Bud is survived by his two daughters Gayle Delony and her husband Bill of Dunnellon, FL and Lynn Patrick and her husband Jim of Mendon, MA, 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He attended Lowell schools and enlisted in the Army in 1943, serving in the Philippines with the 465th Field Artillery Battalion. He was a very proud WWII veteran and Purple Heart recipient.

Bud met the love of his life, Doris Guevremont in high school, and after returning from his military service, they married and raised their two daughters.

He began a successful career at General Motors in Framingham and Atlanta, from 1948 to 1981 as an assembly line worker, foreman, general foreman, Superintendent and Product Representative. He went on to enjoy a long retirement in Boca Raton & Ocala FL from 1981 to 2017. They returned to MA in 2017.

Bud always enjoyed spending time with family, was an avid golfer and loved a good card game. He was admired and loved by all who knew him and will be sorely missed and remembered as an honest, loyal and generous man.

Relatives and friends may call at the ODONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in Lowell on Wednesday morning June 15, 2022, from 10:30 A.M. - 12:00 Noon followed by his Funeral Service in the Funeral Home at 12 Noon. His Committal Prayers and Military Honors will immediately follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell. E-condolences/directions at www.odonnellfuneralhome.com.
