Richard J. Jabour

Beloved brother, uncle, and friend;

Richard J. Jabour, 92, of Lowell, Massachusetts, peacefully passed away Monday, May 18, 2026, at Lowell General Hospital.

Born in Lowell, MA, May 9, 1934, the son of the late Louis J. and the late Anna (Massood) Jabour, he attended Lowell schools and Lowell High School. 

After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Korean War.

Richard studied at East Coast Aero Tech, now known as National Aviation Academy, where he earned a degree in aeronautics.

For many years, Richard owned and operated Perillo’s Sub Shop in Woburn, MA.

He enjoyed spending time outside doing yard work and tending to his garden. But most of all, he loved working on projects, especially, those that gave him a challenge.

Richard never complained in dealing with his severe health issues, and was always willing to help others, regardless of how he felt. He never said an unkind word about anyone and always tried to make things better.

Richard is survived by a sister, Rosemary F. Joseph of Lowell, MA; a niece, Leslie Jabor of Oceanside, CA; a nephew, Joseph Jabor of Wakefield, MA; and a grand nephew, Joshua King.

He was the brother of the late Robert J. Jabor, Sr. and Jeannette J. Jabor, R.N. and the uncle of the late Michael Jabor and Robert J. Jabor, Jr.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning, May 29, 2026, at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. His Funeral Mass will follow at IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH at 11 o’clock. Burial at the Westlawn Cemetery.
