Beloved brother, uncle, and grand-uncle;

Vincent J. Parent, 78, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away on Friday August 25, 2023, at Regal Care at Lowell, in Lowell, MA.

Born in Lowell, MA, on August 11, 1945, the son of the late J. Herman and the late Mary F. (Wrenn) Parent, he attended St. Patrick Grammar School and was a graduate of Keith Academy in the Class of 1963. Vincent went on to graduate from Merrimack College in the Class of 1967.

Vincent proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Prior to his retirement, Vincent worked for the City of Lowell School Departmentas a Paraprofessional with special needs students. He finished his career at Lowell High School.

Among his many interests, Vincent was an avid reader, photographer, and humanitarian; donating to every charity he was able to. He always had a camera in his hand, and could be seen showing his pictures at various art exhibits around Lowell.

Vincent is survived by two brothers: David F. Parent and his wife Joyce of Jensen Beach, FL and Joseph H. Parent and his wife Beverly of Lowell, MA; two sisters Mary B. Parent of Lexington, MA, and Sister Cathy Parent CDP of San Antonio, TX; one niece and four nephews Julie Parent, David Parent, Joseph Parent, Timothy Parent, and Michael Parent; he is also survived by a grand-niece and three grand-nephews.

Friends may call at ST. PATRICK CHURCH 282 SUFFOLK ST. in LOWELL on Tuesday September 5, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:45 A.M. His Funeral Mass will follow at ST. PATRICK CHURCH at 11:00 A.M.
