Walter E. Early

Walter E. Early, age 86, of Lowell, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on
Wednesday April 2, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital.

Born in Lowell, MA, May 20, 1938, the son of the late Arthur and the late Elenora (Butler) Early, he received his education in the Lowell school system. He then enlisted in United States Army and served honorably during the Korean War.

A former owner of Early Brothers Roofing, he was a widely known local roofing contractor throughout Lowell and the surrounding area. A lifelong Lowell resident, he made his home on Gorham Street for many years. There, he enjoyed taking his dog out for walks, talking with neighbors, and sharing meals with his dearest friend, Mona.
 
Walter was predeceased by his brothers Richard T. Early and Arthur J. Early as well as his longtime best friend and companion, Ramona (Mona) Gendron.

He is survived by dear friends Kitty Duffy and her husband Brian of Chelmsford, Christine Raymond of Livermore, CA, Ray Gendron and his wife Pam of Tyngsborough, Jacqui Taylor and her husband David of Nashua, NH and Jo McCarthy and her husband Chris of Glastonbury, CT.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Committal Graveside Prayer Service to be held on Tuesday April 8, 2025, at ST. MARY CEMETERY in TEWKSBURY at 10 o’clock (Section 7).
