Mary-Beth “Beth” Marroquin

Beloved wife, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, Godmother and cherished friend;

Mary-Beth (Horan) Marroquin, 61, of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 10th after a long, courageous battle with MS and a brief but brave fight against Bladder Cancer.

Born in Lowell, MA, on November 6th, 1960, the daughter of the late Donald B. and the late Natalie M. (Donovan) Horan, she attended St. Margaret’s School and graduated from Greater Lowell Tech High School in the class of 1979.

Prior to her retirement, Beth worked as Customer Service Representative for Boston Scientific (formerly known as Bard), for over 20 years.  Prior to that, she worked as Office Manager in the landscape industry for Otey Brothers and Old Fox Lawn Care.

Known by her family as “Bethy”, she had a passion for cooking and loved spending time preparing meals for her family who she loved deeply.  If she wasn’t in the kitchen making her famous meatloaf and mac & cheese, or watching the Food Network, you would find Bethy “getting comfortable” to sit on the veranda and say her nightly prayers.  She was a child of God who made it her role in the family to protect… and that she did.  The holidays won’t be the same without Aunt Beth and her wonderfully whacky sense of humor and her recipes.

Beth is survived by three sisters: Donna M. Woodbury and her husband David of York, ME, Kelly A. Fucci of Chelmsford, MA, and Patricia A. O’Brien and her husband Anthony of Chelmsford, MA; a brother Michael D. Horan of Lowell, MA; a sister-in-law Sharon Horan of Lowell, MA; her former brother-in-law Jon Fucci and former sister-in-law Jennifer Horan; nine loving nieces and nephews: David Woodbury, Erin and Daniel Horan, Maire, Megan and Maiti Fucci, Jack and Ben O’Brien, Leah Horan; and also several grand nieces and nephews and tons of amazing cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Saul Marroquin of 22 years, and a brother James Horan.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday July 15, 2022, at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL from 9:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. followed by her Funeral Mass at ST. MARGARET OF SCOTLAND CHURCH at 12:00 Noon. Burial to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell. E-condolences/directions at www.odonnellfuneralhome.com.
